We had another Mandala writing workshop last November 21 at the ISIS Women's Center. For everyone's information, we are not connected with any terrorist group. It is just that this women's center named their facility after an Egyptian goddess Isis, the goddess of moon, healing, fertility, magic and love. Oftentimes, she is depicted with outspread wings. The wings are linked with her ability to protect the life and afterlife. Also, Mandala Peace Arts Initiative is a NGO promoting peace through giving Mandala writing workshops and any peace related activities.
For this month, we honored one of our birthday celebrants, our dearest friend Orlan who already passed away, by doing mandalas for him. We also made mandalas for ourselves. We hope to collect mandala artworks and exhibit them soon. Hopefully early next year. May Peace prevail on Earth.
Here are close up shots of our Mandalas. We hope you can join us in our next workshop.
